Margaret May Huss, daughter of J. G. and Mary Anne Huss, was born September 1, 1864, in Johnson county, Iowa, and died January 4, 1929. She gave her heart to God in 1894 and united with the Evangelical church at Oak Grove. She was a true Christian, a kind and loving daughter and sister, and was loved by all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her departure, five sisters and one brother: They are Mrs. Emma Gordon of Huron, South Dakota; Mrs. N. W. Gordon of Indianola; Mrs. F. G. Hockenberry, of Doniphan, Nebraskaa; Mrs. C. H. Leach, Mrs. P. G. Rollstin and John Huss, of Winterset. The funeral was conducted Monday afternoon at the Ramsey funeral home, with Rev. John T. Hall, pastor of the Baptist church, officiating. Interment was in Hooten cemetery.

Death of Miss Margaret Huss

Miss Margaret May Huss died Friday, January 4th, after a week’s illness of flu pneumonia. She had been in poor health the past year. The funeral services were conducted Monday, January 7th, at the Ramsey-Richards funeral home, with the Rev. John T. Hall, of the Baptist church, officiating. Burial was in the Hooten cemetery. She is survived by five sisters and one brother. They are, Mrs. Emma Gordon, of Huron, South Dakota; Mrs. N. W. Gordon, of Indianola; Mrs. F. C. Hockenberry, of Doniphan, Nebraska; Mrs. H. C. Leach, Mrs. P. G. Rollstin and John Huss, of Winterset. She was 64 years old at the time of her death.
