Billie Ray Hircock, rural Peru

Services for Billie Ray Hircock, 60, rural Peru, who died Tues., Dec. 19, will be held on Fri., Dec. 22, at 2:00 p.m. at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. John Safford of the Grace Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be at the Peru Cemetery.

Mr. Hircock was born in Winterset on December 5, 1929, the son of Ray and Glee Warren Hircock. A farmer, he was married to Ruby Gilleland on June 30, 1957 at the First Christian Church in Winterset.

Mr. Hircock lived in rural Peru since 1936, was a member of the VFW in Winterset and for three years played harmonica, guitar and sang with Harold Brock and the Nine Eagles County Band.

Survivors include his wife, Ruby; a son, Kevin Hircock of Adel; a daugher, Roxanne Hircock of Urbandale; a brother, Delbert Hircock of Hoquiam, Wash.; sisters, Mrs. Ethel McMaines of Montezuma, Mrs. Jean Jeffs of West Des Moines and Mrs. Norma Day of Harlingen, Texas; and two grandchildren.

Mr. Hircock was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
