David R. Wright, 72, of Rockaway Beach, Mo., died Jan. 10, 2006, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Mo.

Cremation was handled by Whelchel Funeral Chapels of Forsyth, Mo. No services were held.

David Wright was born Nov. 26, 1933, in Madison County to Everett and Mamie Wright. He presided in Winterset until moving to Rockaway Beach in 1999.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn. He is survived by his wife, Norine Wright of Rockaway Beach, Mo.; four sons, Colon Wright of Des Moines, Gary Wright of Garden Grove, and Ralph Wright and Bill Wright, both of Lorimor; two daughters, Shelley Bradford of Garden Grove and Tami Wallace of Murray; a sister, Dorothy Bivins of Winterset; and four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Note: Cremains were buried at the Winterset Cemetery on October 20, 2010.
