Evelyn May Camp, Peru

Evelyn May Camp, 81, of Peru died Oct. 8, 1998, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines of burns sustained in a home accident.

Funeral services were held Monday, Oct. 12, at Kale Funeral Home in Osceola with the Rev. Dwayne Henrichs of Thayer officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery in Clarke County.

Evelyn Camp was born April 28, 1917, near Osceola to Oscar Lonzo and Bertha Ellen (Ruark) Morrow. She was educated in rural Clarke County schools and graduated from Osceola High School. She married Clell Camp on Dec. 20, 1941 in Bethany, Mo. Evelyn, a lifetime resident of Clarke and Madison counties, taught at country schools in Clarke and Madison counties for 10 years. She was a 48 year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Venus Chapter 295 in Lorimor and was presently a member of Winterset Chapter 180 in Winterset. She also was a member of the Madison Chapel Church in rural Clarke County and the Madison Chapel Ladies Aid.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Jim Camp (wife Shelly) of Peru; one daughter, Marsha Milner (husband Jim) of Pleasantville; two brothers, Galen Morrow (wife Nancy) and Robert Morrow (wife Nancy) both of Des Moines; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
