Mary Jane Thurman, 75, died from complications of pneumonia Oct. 23, 1999, at Winterset Care Center South.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Oct. 26, at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating. Burial was at Barney Cemetery, Monroe Township, Madison County.
Mary Jane Thurman was born Nov. 18, 1923, to Ralph and Louise (Barns) Simpson of Winterset. She married Everett D. Thurman on Dec. 27, 1941, in Grant City, Mo. A homemaker Mary Jane was a lifetime resident of Madison County.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a brother and a sister.
She is survived by a son, Dale Thurman (wife Marlene) of Honey Creek; a daughter, Kathleen Kordick (husband Glenn) of Winterset; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
