WINTERSET, IA. - Services for L. J. Rynearson, 83 of Winterset, who died of a heart ailment Friday at the Care Center North, will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Deer Creek Chapel Church in Madison County. Burial will be in Barney Cemetery, also in Madison County.
He was born in Des Moines and lived in Madison County most of his life. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Anna; three sons, Leon Jr. of Mabel, Minn. and Jesse and Clifford, both of Lorimor; three brothers, Ivan of Yale, Carl of Granger and Kenneth of Adel; a sister, Edith Poindexter of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. today at Collins Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to Deer Creek Chapel Church.

Funeral services for Leon James Rynearson of Winterset were held Monday morning,
Aug. 14, from Deer Creek Chapel.
Mr. Rynearson died Aug. 11 at Care Center North at the age of 83.
A son of Jesse William and Leonna Hague Rynearson, he was born March 17, 1906 in Des Moines.
On August 17, 1927 he was married to Anna E. Pennington and they spent their entire married life in Madison County. Mr. Rynearson was a retired farmer.
He is survived by his wife Anna of Winterset; three sons, Leon, Jr. of Mable, Minn., Jesse and Clifford of Lorimor; three brothers Ivan of Yale, Iowa, Carl of Granger, and Kenneth of Adel; one sister, Edith Poindexter of Des Moines; 12 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Officiating at the service Monday morning was Pastor Dan Waite. Burial was in Barney Cemetery.
