Elaine Fink was born December 22, 1907 on a farm in Penn Township in Madison County, Iowa to Jacob Augustus and Mary Alice (May) Holderbaum. She passed away January 17, 1995 at the Stuart Community Care Center.

She attended Penn #4 and graduated from Dexter High School in 1926.

On March 10, 1931 she was united in marriage to Jacob Fred Fink and three daughters were born to this union.

Elaine was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Dexter, where she was very active in Womens Association while in good health.

For several years she was a leader of the Penn Gwen 4-H club which she helped start.

She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, who loved her garden and flowers. She spent many hours sewing and making quilt blocks and quilts.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, a son-in-law Arthur Huntington and brother-in-law Carroll Bennett.

Surviving are her daughters; Mrs. Robert (Marilyn) Fausch of Ames, Mrs. Arthur (Maxine) Huntington of Creston and Mrs. Jim (Norma Jean) Garwood of Albia; four granddaughters; Karen Klinkefus, Mary Neyens, Pamela LaRue, and Sharon Huntington; three great grandchildren Amy and Matthew Klinkefus, and Katlyn Neyens; and a sister Doris Bennett of Winterset, a niece Lilah Howell, two nephews Marvin and Norman Bennett, several great nieces, nephews, and many friends.

Burial was at South Oak Grove Cemetery, Stuart, Iowa.
