David Clearwater Dies

Van Meter, October 30. Special. Word has been received of the death of David Clearwater, father of Frank H. Clearwater. He was a former Madison county resident, but has been living in Salem, Oregon, for some time. He passed away Friday, October 25th, at the age of ninety-two years.

DAVID CLEARWATER 92, DIES IN HOSPITAL

David W. Clearwater, 92, resident of Salem for the past 15 years, died Friday morning in a local hospital after a two year's Illness. Since his wife's death two years ago, Clearwater has been ill in the hospital. Eight of his 14 children survive him. They are J. C. and A. L. Clearwater of Salem: Frank Clearwater of Van Meter, Iowa; Cloyd ot Oak Grove, Ore.; Bert of Saskatchewan, Canada; Mrs. Verna Sexton of Seaview, Wash.; Mrs. Myrtle Snar [Snarr] and Mrs. Marie Moier [Moyer] of Portland. He also leaves 37 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Clearwater came to Oregon from Iowa, where he was a farmer for a number of years. He lived in Portland for a number of rears before coming to Salem.

Funeral services will be held in Portland Monday with interment in the Rose City park cemetery.

David W. Clearwater died October 25 at a local hospital at the age of 92 years. Survived by his widow, Louisa, and the following children: J. C. Clearwater of Salem and A. L. Clearwater of Salem; Frank of Van Meter, Iowa; Cloyd of Oak Grove, Bert of Canada; Mrs. Vera [Verna] Sexton of Seaview, Wash.; Mrs. Myrtle Snar [Snarr] and Mrs. Mamie Moier [Moyer] of Portland.

Funeral services. will be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the W. C. Kenworthy chapel in Portland and interment in the Rose City park cemetery. Arrangements in charge or Clough-Taylor company.

Funeral Service For Clearwater Slated Monday

Funeral services for David W. Clearwater, who died here Friday morning at the age of 92 years, will be held Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Kenworthy parlors in Portland. David Clearwater had been in ill health for several years. He was a native of Iowa and for years engaged in farming in that state. He came to Portland from the east a number of years ago and to Salem from Portland 15 years age. Mrs. Clearwater died here two years ago. Six children also preceded him to the grave.

Eight children survive: J, C. and A. L. of Salem; Frank of Iowa; Cloyd of Oak Grove: Bert of Saskatchewan, Canada; Mrs, Vera [Verna] Sexton of Seaview, Wash., Mrs. Snar [Snarr] and Mrs. Mamie Moier [Moyer], both of Portland.
