Lois Hartley, 91, of Winterset, died Aug. 29, 2004, at West Bridge Care & Rehabilitation in Winterset. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Lois Hartley was born Dec. 29, 1912, in Winterset to Frank and Myra Belle (Rollstin) Martin. On July 14, 1949, she married Jno. N. Hartley, in Rockford, Ill. A lifetime resident of Winterset, Lois was a legal secretary prior to her marriage. She also had been a member of the Current Topic Club, Antique Club and the First Baptist Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two half brothers, Rex Martin and Clifford Martin.

She is survived by one son, Jack Hartley of Missoula, Mont.; one daughter, Micki Larsen of Ogden, Iowa; and five grandchildren.

Arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
