Obituary

Little John Neff Bechtel, son of John and June Bechtel entered this life on Sunday morning at 4 o'clock, April 15, 1917 and at the age of 8 months and 1 day, after a brief illness, entered the life eternal on Sunday morning at 4:30, Dec. 16, 1917. No life has ever gone out without having fulfilled its mission in this earth life.

God in his great loving kindness, has blessed these parents with 8 months happy intimate association with this, one of His little ones, and today, as they think of their darling baby boy, they can only recall his cheery disposition, his sweetness, purity and patience, the memory of which is to us a precious heritage.

Besides the parents, he leaves, two devoted little sisters, Beatrice aged 5 years and Byna aged 3 years. Grandparents together with numerous relatives and friends, who today mourn the departure of this much loved child. The little opening bud has been transplanted in the garden of the kingdom of heaven and hence forth will enjoy the loving care of the One who said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for of such is the kingdom of heaven."

Funeral services were conducted at the Church of Christ, Monday at 2:30 under the supervision of Rev. Cachiaras.

The four cousins Lester Neff, Roe Payne, Lois Neff and Helen Jones were pall-bearers. At the close of the services interment was made in the Earlham Cemetery.
