November 2, 1984George Bryan Reinert, the son of George H. and Katie Moore Reinert was born April 15, 1899 in Valentine, Nebraska. At the age of a few weeks, due to the death of his mother, George and his brother Leo were brought to the Madison Co., Iowa
farm which was homesteaded by his greatgrandfather Edmund Peed, in 1853, to be raised by their grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. George Moore.On October 5, 1926, he was united in marriage to Bessie E. Admire of Ainsworth, Nebraska. To this union was born one son, James R. Reinert.
George was a faithful member of the Worthington United Methodist Church. He spent his entire life living in the Worthington community engaged in farming.
On October 30, 1984, at the age of 85, he passed away at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leo and half-sister, Jennie Jamison.
Survivors are his wife, Bessie; his son, James and his wife Beverly; two half-sisters, Mae Howell and Leona Ferguson of Ainsworth, Nebraska; three grandchildren,Chris Mapes of Earlham; Beth Padilla of Monticello, Ill. and David of Houston, Texas; three great-grandchildren, Joel Clabaugh and Erin and Eric Padilla; several nieces and nephews, cousins and a hosts of friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, November 2 at the Worthington United Methodist Church with the Reverend Helen E. Farr officiating. Organ music was provided by Lucile White. Pallbearers were Cecil Clark, Glen Stanley, Kenneth Allen, Dale Stanley, James Smith and Lenard Binns. Interment was in Winterset Cemetery, Winterset, Iowa.
