MRS. M. M. PERKINS Died Last Saturday

Mrs. M. M. Perkins, member of a well known Madison county family, died at her home in Winterset Saturday, May 24, 1947. She had been in failing health for some time, but had not been seriously ill until a few days prior to her death. She was 70 years of age.

Mrs. Perkins was the former Jessie Mae Rogan, daughter of James and Julia Rogan, and was born Nov. 28, 1876, in the old Stringtown neighborhood of this county. Her early life was spent in Madison county and she was married here on Jan. 2, 1901, to M. M. Perkins. The first seven years of their married life were spent in this community. They later lived in Dakota and spent 21 years in Des Moines before returning to Winterset in 1941.

Mr. and Mrs. Perkins were the parents of two children, both of whom survive. They are Mrs. Charlotte Flannery of Winterset, and Paul Perkins of Green Bay, Wisconsin.

In addition to her husband and the two children, she leaves four grandchildren; and four brothers and sisters, Elizabeth Perry, James Rogan, Alice Rogan and Waldron Rogan, all of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from St. Joseph's Catholic church in Winterset, with requiem mass said by the pastor, the Rev. J.J.Judge. Burial was made in the Winterset Cemetery.
