Death of Gladys Wray

Miss Gladys Wray, who has been in poor health for a number of months, died Thursday, June 7th, in the hospital at Rochester, Minnesota. She had been receiving treatment in the hospital for the past four months, but nothing could be done to relieve her condition. The body was shipped back here and the Rev. F. Clare McCallon conducted the funeral services Saturday afternoon, June 9th, at two o'clock, at the Church of Christ. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Miss Wray was a daughter of J. W. and Elizabeth Burnskill Wray. She was born in Dallas county, August 28, 1897. When she was nine years of age she moved with her parents to Douglas township, where she lived ten years. Ten years ago they moved to Winterset, where they have since resided. She joined the local Church of Christ shortly after coming to Winterset. Miss Wray's mother died about twenty-five years ago.
