Charles L. Crawford, 65, of Winterset, died December 11, 1993 at the Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset. Funeral services were December 13, 1993 at the First Presbyterian Church in Winterset. The Rev. David Bauer officiated the ceremony. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

He was born October 17, 1928 at Pitzer, to George William and Gertrude Marie (Rogers) Crawford. He married Dorothy Palmer on June 17, 1948 in Winterset. He was a retired farmer and Feed and Grain Elevator owner and operator. He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Masons, Iowa Grain and Feed Association, served on Adair City Council and Adair School Board, V.P. of Heartland Railroad, director of IGF Insurance Co. and Green Valley Chemicals, board member of 5 by 80 Country Club and Iowa Rail Finance Authority for State of Iowa, trustee of his church, and a member of the Adair Development Club and Commercial Club.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Surviving relatives include his wife; one son, Randy Crawford and wife Jan of Adair; one daughter, Vicki Beer and husband Les of Clive; one sister, Dorothy Beverlin of Palm Bay, Fla; four grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
