Dale Hamilton Murry, 96, of Winterset, died May 28, 2001, of multiple organ system failure at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Graveside services were held Friday, June 1, at St. Charles Cemetery with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating.

Dale Murry was born June 27, 1904, in Madison County to Fred and Nettie (Meyer) Murry. A farmer, Dale had resided on the family homestead from 1923 to 1997. Prior to that, he had lived in Kansas, Missouri and Greene County, Iowa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters.

He is survived by a sister, Frances Martin of Winterset and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset.
