Carmen Murry, Winterset

Elda Carmen Murry, 79, of Winterset died March 29, 1999, of a stroke.

Graveside services were held Saturday April 3, at Winterset Cemetery, with Pastor Steve Koch offciating.

Carmen Murry was born Oct. 31, 1919, In Lemons, Mo. to James Eugene and Alta May (Carter) Daily.

She married Donald M. Murry on Jan. 23, 1943, in Unionville, Mo. A resident of Winterset for 53 years, she was a homemaker and retired clerk for Coast to Coast.

Carmen was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother and one sister.

She is survived by two sons, Donald (Butch) Murry, Jr. and Steven Murry (special friend Lauri Bloss), both of Winterset; one daughter, Linda Kuhns (husband Richard) of Hollywood, Fla.; two sisters, Mary Gene Wood and Elene Nunn, both of Unionville, Mo.; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
