Donna Golightly, Winterset

Donna Golightly, 65, of Winterset died February 24, 2000 of cancer at the Madison County Memorial Hospital. Memorial services were held February 28 at Ochiltree Funeral Service in Winterset. The Rev. Ernie Baiotto officiated the services and burial of the cremated remains followed at Winterset Cemetery.

She was born April 10, 1934, in Omaha, Nebraska. She was adopted by L.O. "Pat" and Gladys (Newton) Patten of Earlham at the age of six weeks. She married Wilbur Gene Golightly on January 18, 1952 in Earlham. She was a homemaker, a waitress at the Earlham Cafe, a librarian in Earlham and a waitress at Fannies in Winterset. She was a member of the Madison County Genealogical Society, a member of the Earlham Church of Christ and a past member of the Order of Eastern Star #294 in Earlham.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving relatives include her husband; two sons Michael Golightly and wife Connie of Earlham and Anthony Golightly and wife Teresa of Winterset; one daughter Patricia Hochstetler and husband Clair of Dexter; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be directed to a fund established in Donna's name.
