Charlotte I. Flannery, 96, died of heart failure March 30, 1999, at Indianola Good Samaritan Center Funeral services were held Thursday, April 1, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery.

Charlotte Flannery was born in Madison County on August 15, 1902, the daughter of Matthew and Jessie Rogan Perkins. A homemaker most of her life, she retired from Polk County Juvenile Home in Des Moines in 1968. She had been a resident of Indianola Good Samaritan Center since 1988; previously living in Winterset and Des Moines. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset and a 50-year member of the Drake University Alumni Association.

She is survived by two sons, John Flannery of Des Moines and Pat Flannery of Indianola; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to her church. Funeral arrangements were handled by Overton Funeral Home in Indianola.
