Lena Grace McGee

Graveside services were held Thursday afternoon
for Lena Grace McGee, a former resident of Madison
County, who died April 9, 1978 in Los Angeles,
Calif. at the age of 88 years. Miss McGee was born
in Madison County Sept. 17, 1889, the daughter of
Ivor Lee McGee and Jennie Black. As a young woman
she went with her parents to Rocky Ford and Denver
Colorado to live.

Miss McGee had made her home in the Los Angeles
area since 1929. She held a position with South
western Portland Cement Co. until her retirement
in 1957.

Her mother and father preceded her in death; she
had no brothers and sisers, her only survivors
being cousins. She often visited relatives here
until recent years.

Rev. Byron Ayers officiated at the interment at
the Winterset Cemetery.
