Cora Alta Rhyno of Truro died Sunday, March 16, at Villa West Care Center in Winterset at the age of 89. She had lived in the Peru area until moving to Truro in 1958.
Born on Nov. 22, 1890, in Adair County, she was the daughter of Harrison and Lauretta Leeper Beem. She attended Peru area schools and on March 11, 1920, was united in marriage to Ivil Lannie Rhyno in Knoxville. Mrs. Rhyno was a member of the Peru United Methodist Church.
Amoung the survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Garna Rebik of St. Charles; three grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, a sister and two half-brothers.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 19 at Kale Funeral Home in Truro with Rev. George Campbell officiating. Burial was at the Peru Cemetery.
