MRS. MERWIN EASTER DIES

St Charles - (Special)-The death of Mrs. Merwin Easter, 38, came as a great shock to her many friends here when the message came that she had passed away while undergoing an operation for tumor at the Mercy Hospital last Tuesday morning. Her death resulting from shock. Only a few people knew that she had gone for an operation and she had been in the store daily and apparently in good health.

Mr. and Mrs. Easter came to St. Charles in 1932 and engaged in a general merchandise business, and she was seldom absent from the store as she liked the work and gave it her personal supervision daily.

She leaves to mourn her early going her husband, her aged mother, five sisters, and one brother, all of Des Moines, and a host of friends.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church here Friday afternoon conducted by the Rev. Margaret Shepard of the Christian Church and was thought to be the largest funeral ever held in the church. Burial was at Norwalk.

Mrs. Merwin Easter Died January 25th

Mrs. Rose Easter, St. Charles resident, died January 25 and a Des Moines hospital following an operation.

Mrs. Easter was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Perry and was born March 17, 1905 she was married in 1927 to Merwin Easter of Norwalk.

Mrs. Easter completed her schoolwork in Des Moines and was employed for a number of years at Younker Brothers. She was a member of the St. Charles Church of Christ.

Besides her husband she is survived by her mother, five sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were conducted by the Reed funeral service from the Methodist church in charge of Rev. Marguerite E. Shepard. Interment was made at Norwalk.
