Servies for Blanche W. Whisler, 81, Winterset, who died June 2 at the Bethesda Care Center where she resided, will be held at 2 p.m. Thurs., June 7, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Marlin Rasmussen and the Rev. Greg Sharp officiating. Burial will be at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Madison County on December 29, 1908, she was the daughter of Oscar and Julia Anne Martin Wilkinson. She was married to Cecil A. Whisler on January 4, 1956 in Winterset.

A lifelong resident of this area, she graduated from Winterset High School in 1929.

Survivors include step-sons, Lawrence Whisler of Kansas, and David Whisler of Duncanville, Texas; step-daughters, Mildred (Mrs. Marlin) Rasmussen of Marquette, Neb., Carol (Mrs. Joe) Morse of San Juan Capistrano, Calif., and Miriam (Mrs. Ed) Baer of Perry; eight grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a brother and a sister.
