Mrs. B. S. BInns

Emaline Augusta Kentfield, daughter of C. Z. and Augusta Kentfield, was born in Mahaska county, Iowa, September 3, 1857 and departed this life April 4, 1923, aged 65 years seven months and one day.

She was married to B. S. Binns March 19, 1876. To this union were born seven children, one daughter preceding her to that better land April 29, 1908. She leaves to mourn her loss her loving husband, six children and 25 grandchildren, one brother, John Kentfield, of California, and one brother and sister, of Mahaska county, Iowa.

She with her husband and two children came to Madison county in 1879, settling on Brush Ridge near Bevington, Ia. In 1880 they moved to section 8, Webster township, and in 1900 to the home where they lived at the time of her death.

She united with the M. E. church at about the age of 15 and remained a faithful worker until the time of her death. Like her Master she was ever a friend to those in need.

The funeral was held at the home Friday morning by Rev. A. R. Weed, of Orient. Interment was at Wright cemetery.
