Lora Foster, Winterset

Lora Cooter Foster, 101, died June 15, 1993, at Bethesda Care Center in Winterset. Graveside services were held June 28 at Winterset Cemetery with the Rev. Donald Frank officiating.

Mrs. Foster was born December 2, 1891 in Stineville Ind. to John and Candace (Harrell) Cooter. She married Glenn Foster September 4, 1912 in Winterset. A homemaker, she lived in Madison County most of her life. She was a member of the A.V.A. Club and was a 50-year member of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters.

Surviving relatives include one son, John Foster and wife Jean of Winterset; one daughter, Beverly Ham and husband Dale of Winterset; a brother Harrell Ruth and wife Mary Sue of Ventura, Calif; two grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial may be sent to the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.
