SARAH MARGARET CLARK
Sarah Margaret Clark was born July 7, 1865 at Cambridge, Ohio, and spent her early part of her life in that community. On December 14, 1884 she was united in marriage to Samuel Enowden (Snowden) Anker. The family came to Iowa in 1887, and located in Fremont County, where the family lived a number of years. Later she moved to Earlham, where she has resided ever since.
This family was blessed with four children, namely William Orland of Atlantic; James LeRoy of Earlham; John Raymond of West Des Moines; and Edna Agnes Custer of Altoona.
She leaves to mourn her husband, the above named children, seventeen grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one brother Campbell of Cambridge, Ohio with a host of faithful and loving friends.
Mrs. Anker had been in poor health for sometime and passed to the beyond April 8th, 1940. She had confessed her faith in Christ early in life and united with the United Presbyterian Church of which church she remained a member.

Mrs. S. S. Anker who has been ill for sometime, died at her home in the south part of Earlham, Monday, April 8. She came to this community with her husband about thirty years ago and has resided here ever since.
Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church, Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Bock was in charge of the services. Burial was made at the North Branch Cemetery.
