Services Held For Ella Andrew

Funeral services were held for Mrs. Ella B. Andrew Saturday, June 11, at 3:00 p.m. at the Earlham Friends Church. Rev. L. Willard Reynods officiated. Music was furnished by Mrs. Helen Ludwick, organist. Casket bearers were Donald Slavens, Clarence Pryor, Russell Hoskins, Claude Peer, Earl Anker and Leo Mapes. Interment was in the Earlham Cemetery. Mrs. Andrew passed away at the Garwood Nursing HOme in Dexter Wednesday, June 8.

OBITUARY

Ella B. Andrew, daughter of John and Elsie Fritsen, was born in Coralville, Iowa, November 18, 1888, and passed from this life on June 8, 1960 at the Garwood Nursing home in Dexter, where she had resided since July, 1959.

She attended the Earlham Academy, graduating in 1906. On February 16, 1910, she was united in marriage with Orla Andrew. This union was blessed with three children: Clarence, Robert and Audrey.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Orla, in 1945, and her daughter, Audrey, in 1931.

She and her family became members of the Earlham Friends Church in 1916, and were members during the years that followed. She was active in the work of the church until her health began to fail.

She leaves to mourn her passing her two sons, Clarence of San Diego, California, and Robert of Des Moines, and her grandchildren. She leaves also three sisters: Mrs. Dora Madsen of Chehalis, Washington, Mrs. Mary Smith of Des Moines, and Mrs. Kathryn Coard of Fort Worth, Texas, and many other relatives and friends.
