Death of Andrew Hanrahan

Bevington, May 8. Special - Andrew Aloysius Hanrahan died at Mercy hospital Thursday, May 2nd, at 9:30 p.m. at the age of sixty-eight years. The funeral was held Saturday at the church of the Assumption in Churchville, where a solemn requiem mass was read by the Pastor, Rev. P. J. Casey. Interment was in St. Patrick's cemetery. He is survived by his widow, one daughter, Bridgetta, and two sons, John and Andrew. The pall bearers were Peter and Dominic Melroy, Michael Sheehey, T. F. Kelleher, Stephen Hoelting and Mr. Graney.

The deceased was born near Binghampton, New York, and came with his parents to Iowa when a child. He grew to manhood in Lee township and attended college at Ackworth. In 1894 he married Miss Alice Ryan and lived near St. Charles for a few years. He then came to this neighborhood where he purchased a farm two miles north of here and where he lived until his death.
