Peter Welty

Peter Welty was born in Pickway Co., Ohio, Jan 31, 1820, and died near Winterset, Madison County, Iowa, Dec. 7, 1882.

In 1843 he was married to Mary Schnellbacher in Ohio. They were early settlers of Madison County coming here in 1855.

Bro. Welty was converted to God when quite young and united with the Evangelical Association, and remained faithful until death. He was laid to rest in the Welty Cemetery of Webster township.

A wife, children and grandchildren mourn their loss. Funeral by the writer, S. A. Walton, assisted by Rev. Wm. Bates, of Thayer.
