Everett Doyle Carpenter, 59, of Lorimor died Dec. 7, 2005, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
A graveside service was held Saturday, Dec. 10 at Moon Cemetery in rural Macksburg.

Everett Carpenter was born April 19, 1946, in Des Moines to Orville D. and Garnet Irene (Finch) Carpenter. His marriage to Joyce Pinckney took place June 30, 1965, at the First Baptist Church in Indianola. Everett, a lifelong area resident, was a self-employed truck driver for most of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Dale Raymond Carpenter.

He is survived by his wife, Joyce, of Lorimor; one daughter, Dawn Michele Jarvie of Cheyenne, Wyo.; one son, Dennis Michael Carpenter of Macksburg; and five grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the First Baptist Church in Lorimor.

Arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
