HENRIETTA L ALEXANDER

Henrietta L. Alexander, daugher of Ferdinand and Emma Schoen, was born January 16, 1884 in Jefferson Township, Madison County, Iowa. She passed away September 27, 1968 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines and was 84 years, 8 months and 11 days of age.

She was married to Erwin Joseph Alexander Sr. on March 25, 1903. To this union five children were born: Lenore, Mrs. Louris Lineweaver of rural Winterset; Louise, Mrs. Alfred Shafar of Creston; Roberta, Mrs. Dean Estell of West Des Moines; Mr. Erwin Joseph Alexander Jr. of Des Moines; and Trudy, Mrs. Ellis Oldham of Des Moines.

Mrs. Alexander was a member of the United Brethren Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, one sister, and one brother.

She is survived by her four daughters and one son; by five grandchildren and one foster grandchild; by two great grandchildren and three foster great grandchildren; by two brothers, Jesse Schoen of Des Moies and Paul F Schoen of Hialeah, Florida; and by a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

Services were held at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset on Sunday, September 29, at 3:30 p.m. with Rev. Ward Young in charge. Dean Leslie was soloist accompanied by Mrs. Mont Johnson at the organ. Casket bearers were Myles Alexander, Robert Alexander, Wayne Schoen, Albert Woods, Nelson Woods and Ward Woods. Interment was in the Jefferson Township Cemetery in Madison County.
