Mable May Adams

Mable May Adams, daughter of Alfred Riley and Catherine Jackson was born at Mendon, Missouri on April 11, 1889. At the time of her passing she was 76 years old.

Her early life was spent in the Mendon and Brookfield communities. On June 5, 1904 she was united in marriage to Grover Cleveland Adams, who preceded her in death on January 9, 1965.

Surviving are one son and two daughters, Meredith L Adams, Earlham; Lucille K. Caudle, Van Meter; and Estelle M. Power, Liberty, Missouri.

Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, one sister, two brothers and one grandson.

Survivors include 12 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Monday, December 6, at 10:00 a.m. in the DeSoto Methodist Church with the Rev. Milton Lentz officiating. Soloist was Robert G. Fisher accompanied by Mrs. Max Riley.

Casketbearers were grandsons, Merrill Adams, Darrell Adams, Harold Adams, Leonard Adams, J.B. Power and Ronald Caudle.

Burial was at Mendon, Missouri with a graveside service conducted by Rev. Winters from Orrick, Missouri at 3:00 p,m.
