Rev. George Hulbert, Garden Grove, Calif.

Services for the Rev. George Hulbert, 62, former Madison County resident, who died in California Nov. 3, were held at Garden Grove, Calif., on Nov. 7.

He was the son of George and Tuttise Harrison Hulbert and was born on Sept. 20, 1921, at Macksburg, and graduated from Winterset High School. He left, Winterset in 1940 to attend the Mammie McFerson Temple of the Foursquare Church in California.

In June of 1943, he married Ruth Lyons in California and they were parents of three sons, Bruce and Matthew in California and Earl in Pennsylvania, and a daughter, Levada Davis, also in California.

Other survivors include his stepmother, Greta Hulbert of Ottumwa; sisters, Helen Burkholder of DeSoto, Murriel Baber of Carlisle, Laura Willard of Des Moines and Mary and Evelyn Kephart both of Winterset.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Ruth.

Those from Iowa attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Everett Kephart of New Virginia, Helen Burkholder, Muriel Baber, and Mary and Evelyn Kephart.
