Jo Ellen Gentry, 46, of Red Oak died Dec. 1, 2005, at her home due to complications of diabetes.

Graveside services were held Monday, Dec. 5, at Winterset Cemetery.

Jo Ellen Gentry was born Nov. 7, 1959, in Greenfield to Wayne Wesley and Marilyn Jean (Stevens) Gentry. She attended school in Griswold until she moved to Red Oak, where she continued her schooling. She was baptized in the Griswold United Methodist Church. For most of her working life, Jo Ellen was employed as a cook at the Red Lion Restaurant in Red Oak.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

She is survived by her mother, Marilyn Gentry of Red Oak; her father, Wayne Gentry of Omaha; a sister, Lynn Reynolds of Stanton; and two brothers, Bruce Gentry of Council Bluffs and Brian Gentry of Emerson.

Memorial Contributions may be directed to Hospice with Heart in Council Bluffs or the Red Oak Fire and Rescue.

Arrangements were handled by Duhn Funeral Home in Griswold.
