January 29, 1903

Mrs. George Armstrong died Jan. 26, 1903, at her home in Scott township, Madison county, Iowa, aged 43 years. She leaves nine children. The funeral was held at the Christian church at East Peru on Tuesday forenoon conducted by Rev. L. E. Fallansbee of Winterset. A large number of friends in deep sympathy with the sorrowing family assembled and followed the remains to the cemetery. Her illness lasted but six days, when she succomed to that dreaded disease, pneumonia.
