December, 2005Everett W. Cresap, 96, of Fruita, Colo., died Dec. 4, 2005.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Everett Cresap was born Feb. 5, 1909, to Delimer B. and Carrie A. (Bright) Cresap. On Dec. 23, 1932, he married Mary Eloise Tatum. They were longtime residents of Winterset and Madison County, farming south of Winterset. They also were members of the Ord Christian Union Church. They later moved to Patterson where they resided for several years. Everett attended Drake University and worked as a welder during World War II at Solar Aircraft Company in Des Moines. He was a member of Farm Bureau and was an insurance underwriter with Farm Bureau before retiring. He also was a member of the Cresap Society.
He was preceded in death by his wife and two grandchildren, Mark Allen Cresap and Kenny Duaine Ridout.
He is survived by one son, Dwight Cresap of Fruita, Colo., one daughter, Linda Spencer of Winterset; a sister Esther Scelonge Janes of Schaumburg, Ill.; and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were handled by Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset.
