Page 1Death of Thomas A. Clark
Thomas A. Clark, a former resident of this county, and a brother of William V. Clark of Douglas township, died June 28th at the home of a daughter, in Mitchell, South Dakota. He was 67 years of age. The funeral services were held in the First Methodist church in Mitchell, Sunday afternoon, July 1st, and burial was made in the Graceland cemetery in that city.
Mr. Clark was born in Mercie county, Illinois, but he moved to this county with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Clark, in 1870. They made their home on a farm in Douglas township until 1882, when he moved to a farm in Guthrie county. There he was married to Ada E. G. Walter, January 1, 1885, and they resided in Guthrie county until in 1907 they moved to Chamberlain, North Dakota. In 1918 they moved from the farm to Mitchell, where he has since resided. Mrs. Clark died in 1926 and he had made his home with his daughter Mrs. Goldie Flynn.
Besides his daughter he is survived by three sisters and two brothers. Mrs. Mary Cline of Dexter; Mrs. Anna Stull of St. Edward, Nebraska; Mrs. Maggie Tullis of Genoa, Texas; Harry Clark of North Dakota, and William of this county.
