Earlham, March 21. Special - Mrs. W. H. Williams, a prominent citizen of Earlham, died Tuesday morning, March 20, after a short illness. She had gone to Des Moines last week for treatment, and was operated upon at the Methodist hospital for appendicitis and gall stones Saturday. Her heart did not seem able to stand the shock and she died Tuesday, March 20, at 9:30 o'clock. She was 48 years of age.

The Williams family came to Earlham nine years ago, and Mr. Williams has since been cashier of the Citizens State bank. Mrs. Williams has taken an active interest in the affairs of her community and had done a great deal of Eastern Star work. She is survived by her husband, one daughter, Wilma Jean, who is thirteen years of age, and other relatives.

Funeral services will be conducted at Earlam, Friday afternoon, March 23, at the Church of Christ at 2:00 o'clock. by Rev. A. N. Simpson.
