Young Man Died Friday at Hospital in Winterset
Flavey R. Oglesbee, well-known young Walnut township resident, died at the hospital in Winterset last Friday after a brief illness. He was 31 years of age. Mr. Oglesbee was the son of Vern and Nettie Oglesbee and was born March 11, 1907, near Peru.
All his life, with the exception of one year in Des Moines, was spent in that community. For the past year Mr. Oglesbee had operated the grader on the Walnut township roads. Prior to that he had been employed at the Simmons garage in Peru.
He was married to Alice McKeever on Dec. 25, 1929. They were the parents of one son, Carl Reese.
In addition to his wife and son, he leaves two brothers, Elra Oglesbee of Peru and Paul Oglesbee of Winterset, and a sister, Mrs. Lyle Cox of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Sunday from the Methodist church in Peru and burial was made in the Peru cemetery.
