Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Brick, 81, of Churchville, were held Wednesday, July 5 at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Assumption, Churchville. Burial was in Mt. Calvary Cemetery near Churchville.
Mrs. Brick died of a heart attack Sunday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, Des Moines.
Prior to her retirement, she was employed as a cook at Bishop Drumm Home and St. John’s Covent in Des Moines. She was a native of Madison County.
She was a member of the Church of Assumption and Altar and Rosary Society at Churchville, and the Friendship Club of St. John’s Church.
Survivors include Mrs. Mary Libby of Knoxville, Mrs. Betty Deatsch of Cleveland, Ohio, and Mrs. Marguerite Gray of Norwalk; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Wiedmann of Churchville, and a brother, Charles T. Wiedmann of West Des Moines.
The rosary was recited Tuesday evening at the Gallaway-McLaren Funeral Home, Norwalk.
