Carl Stuart of Des Moines Dies

Carl W. Stuart, formerly of Winterset, died Sunday in a Des Moines hospital following an extended illness. He was 54 years of age.

Mr. Stuart had moved to Des Moines from Winterset seven years ago.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth, three daughters, Violet and Caroline Stuart of Des Moines, Mrs. Esther Reddix of Council Bluffs; five sons, Donald Stuart of Truro, Oral Stuart of Milwaukee, Wisc., Willis Stuart of Salisbury, North Carolina, Floyd and Edward Stuart of Des Moines; two brothers, James and John Stuart of Winterset; two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Ball of Koshkonong, Missouri, and Mrs. May Clyde of Winterset and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Wednesday from the Hamilton Funeral home in Des Moines, and burial was made in the King cemetery in Madison county.
