Death Of Mrs. Theresa Baur

Another of Madison county's old residents has passed away in the person of Mrs. Theresa Bush Baur, the widow of Stanislaus Baur, living in Jefferson township. Mrs. Baur went over to spend Sunday with her son, Robert and was affected with a gradual weakening of the heart, dying on Wednesday at the age of 84. She was born in Wurizberg, Germany, coming to America in 1852 or thereabouts. Her marriage occurred in Chicago in 1853, she and her husband moving to this county in 1854. Since that date the family home has been on the same farm. Mr. Baur dying seven years ago.

The burial services were conducted by Rev. J. C. White of Winterset on Friday, March 31. Besides Robert Baur of this county, another son, George of Stuart, survives her.
