DEATHS

DAVISON—At her home, 7 miles west of Indianola, Warren county, Iowa, Thursday, Oct. 19, 1882 of throat and lung disease. Mrs. Catherine A. Davison, aged 34 years, 5 months and 20 days.

She was born in Keokuk county, Iowa, April 29, 1848. In her 18th year, she was converted and joined M.E. church in Marion county, Iowa. Was married to her now sadly bereaved husband, Dec. 18, 1859. She was a friend to the church and a consistent christian. She was taken ill last winter, spent some time at Colfax trying to regain her health, but all efforts failed and when the messenger came she gave good evidence of a christian’s hope of a home in heaven, saying “without a doubt, I have a home in heaven.” Her message to her absent relatives was a clear, strong evidence of her home in glory.

She goes to join her father, who preceded her to the spirit land. She leaves her husband, four children, and many relations and friends to mourn her loss. The funeral took place at her late residence on the 21st, and she was buried in the cemetery at St. Charles. Thus one by one we are gathering Home. M.R. HARNED
