Funeral services were held this Wednesday afternoon in Earlham for Edwin Cox, long time resident of Earlham and Penn townships.

Mr. Cox died on Monday, August 27, at his home in Earlham. He was born on June 7, 1877 on a farm near Earlham. All of his life, with the exception of one year in South Dakota was spent in Madison County.

On May 24, 1905, he married the former Dosha Mills. They lived most of their life on a farm near Earlham, but in recent years moved to town where Mr. Cox worked as a blacksmith.

He was a member of the United Presbyterian church at Pitzer.

Surviving are his wife, one daughter, Mrs. Paul Rutherford of Guthrie Center, one son, Francis of Perry, two sisters, Mrs. George Marston of Dexter and mrs. Grace Spegall of Earlham; and one brother, Everett of LeGrand, Washington.

Services were held this Wednesday at the Methodist church in Earlham, with the Rev. C. A. Crouse officiating. Burial was made at Penn Center cemetery.
