Timothy “Tim” Snyder was born July 29, 1981, in Osceola, Iowa to Gene and Patty Snyder. He graduated from Interstate 35 High School in 1999. He attended Iowa State for graphic design before he changed directions and seized an opportunity to travel with the band NSYNC and the Dave Mathews Band as setup and tear down staff.

Tim traveled across the United States, exploring as much as he could before settling down in Oregon. During his time there, he crossed paths with Scott Ostrander, whom he found not only a cherished mentor but a lifelong best friend. Tim joined Scott's business, The Constant Gardener, where he found not just employment, but a sense of family. Tim later changed career paths and started working for Mid Valley Glass and Millwork as an inventory specialist where he found a small business community he craved within a job.

In 2008 Tim met his partner Jessica Carpenter while living in Eugene. They welcomed their sons, Lukas and Emory, into the world.

Tim was a man of many passions, with a profound love for reading, immersing himself in knowledge and history whenever he wasn't working or with his family. He had a connection to the ocean, and a green thumb with incredible gardening talent. His bountiful produce brought smiles to his neighbors, and he even ventured into preserving and canning his harvests.

Tim was an old soul who loved solitude. Beyond his solitude, Tim was known for his ability to engage in lively discussions about sports and statistics, particularly baseball, football, and basketball. He held a lifelong allegiance to the Cyclones and, after residing in Oregon, became a Duck fan. Tim's remarkable memory and knack for numbers made him a reliable source of information, earning him the reputation of always being right.

Tim's memory will forever be cherished by his partner Jessica, sons Lukas and Emerson, his mother Patty Snyder, his father Gene Snyder, brothers Curt (Andrea) Snyder of Germany, niece Tazlina, brother Jeff Snyder of Waukee, niece Kaylan, sisters Tia Snyder of Cottage Grove, and Tara Snyder of Urbandale, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tim was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jay and Naomi Chandler and Bob and Majorie Snyder, Uncles, Raymond Chandler and Gary Snyder, and cousin Mike Snyder.

A Celebration of his life will be Saturday, October 28, Noon until 2:30 at 3861 Wiltshire Lane, Eugene, OR

There will also be a Celebration of His Life on Sunday, November, 12 from 2:00 until 4:00 at 130 N West Street in Truro, IA
