ALBERT ELCANO CLEVENGER

Albert Elcano Clevenger, son of George and Eliza Clevenger, was born June 8, 1861 in Warren County, Iowa, near Indianola. He died December 17, 1933 at the age of 72 years, 6 months and 9 days. On February 5, 1891, he was united in marriage to Mary Angeline Hilderbrand. They made their home in Madison and Warren counties with the exception of twelve years which were spent on a farm in Minnesota.

His wife passed away June 8, 1924. To this union were born five children, George M. who died in infancy, Elmer G., Daisy M., Fred H. and Pearlie L. He leaves to mourn his departure his four children, two sisters, eight grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.

For the past six years, he has made his home with his daughter Daisy Miller near Lacelle. He was a patient sufferer to the last. The funeral was held at Rheinhart's funeral home in Osceola Tuesday, December 19th at 2 o'clock conducted by D.A. White and the remains laid to rest in Maple Hill cemetery.
