It is with great sadness that the family of Yvette Ann Rogers-Hofbauer announces her passing at the age of 57 following a 3 ¾ year battle with AML (acute myeloid leukemia). She passed away peacefully in her sleep with her loving husband by her side, on the morning of Feb. 3, 2022, at the City of Hope Cancer Center in Duarte, Calif.

Yvette was born on Aug. 11, 1964, at Santa Ana Hospital in Santa Ana, Calif., to Alvin Dale and Charlene Rogers. Yvette moved to Iowa with her family and attended grammar school in Madison County from 1970-1974. Yvette and her family then moved back to California where she attended Thomas Paine Elementary School in Garden Grove, Calif., for 6th grade; Fitz Junior High School in Santa Ana for 7th and 8th grade. She graduated from La Quinta High School in 1982, where she excelled in the drama club.

Yvette then met James B. Hofbauer in July of 1985 and they were married on May 19, 1990, in Huntington Beach, Calif. They remained happily married for 32 years, calling Orange, Calif., briefly home and then finally Huntington Beach home until her passing.

Yvette had a big smile and an even bigger heart. She was always willing to help, no questions asked. She enjoyed going to concerts in the part with her husband and friends, she also enjoyed antiques and collectibles, country music and her pets. She loved going to the beach, her quiet place to relax and decompress. But what she loved most of all was her family.

Yvette is survived by her husband, James B. Hofbauer; her three children, Kyle, Sabrina, and Lily Rogers-Hofbauer; her mother, Charlene Roberts Rogers; her brother, Darrin Rogers; and sister, Anita Rogers.

She will be placed to rest at the Pleasant View Cemetery by her father, Alvin Dale Rogers; her grandfather, Clair W. Rogers and her grandmother, Nola Faye Rogers. May her beautiful soul forever rest in peace.
