Jay Neighbor Dead

Jay Neighbor of Des Moines, former resident of Winterset, died Monday, March 8, and funeral services were conducted Wednesday morning in Des Moines.

Mr. Neighbor was in the grocery business here several years ago, and is known by many older Winterset residents.

Jay Neighbor Is Dead Here

Jay Neighbor, 73, of 3119 Cornell died Sunday at Iowa Methodist hospital of a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. Neighbor, a retired grocer, was born in Wayne county, Iowa, and had been a Des Moines resident 25 years. He was a member of the First Baptist church.

Surviving are his widow; a son, M. A. Neighbor of Des Moines: two grandsons, Jack Neighbor of Sandy Springs, and Lieut. Charles Neighbor of Camp Croft, S. C. and a great-granddaughter.

Services will be at 10 a. m. Wednesday at E. Carl White's west side funeral home.
