Chas. K. Ford
Charles K. Ford, 85, of Vermillion, South Dakota, a former Sioux Citian, died January 7, in Vermillion at the home of a daughter, Mrs. E. V. Heikes.
Mr. Ford was born in New York State June 26, 1857. He moved with his parents to Iowa, and first resided at Earlham. He married Cora Tidrick at Winterset, Iowa in 1887. Mr. Ford and Arthur Goshorn, former publisher of The Winterset News, were great friends, and often hunted together.
Surviving besides the widow are a son, A. T. Ford of Sioux City; the daughter, seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held January 9, in the West Heaten chapel of the Congregational church in Vermillion.
