Word was received here this week of the death of Mrs. Sarah Hardy, who will be remembered here as the housekeeper during the pastorate of Rev. William Hahessy, Catholic priest, who died last spring.
Mrs. Hardy had been in poor health for several months and died at the home of her niece, Mrs. Jake Jacobson of Harlan, Iowa, Tuesday morning. She was about 82 years of age.
Requiem mass will be read at the Catholic Church and their, this morning, Thursday, by Rev. H. J. Alberts. Interment will be made in Harlan.
Mrs. Hardy was born in Harlan, Iowa. Her husband preceded her in death thirty-five years ago. She assisted Rev. Hahessy during 15 years of his priesthood, and following his death went to Harlan where she resided with relatives until her death.
She is survived by several sisters.
