Page 3, Column 7J. McKinney Succumbs in Missouri Hospital
Word was received here this week of the death of Jim McKinney, former resident of Winterset, who died at a hospital in Kirksville, Missouri, Thursday, September 10, following a heart attack. He was 57 years of age.
McKinney was born in Winterset in 1885, the son of Witt and Katherine McKinney. He resided here for about forty years, moving to Kirksville with his wife in the year in 1927. There he established a grocery store, which he operated up to the time of his death.
Funeral services were held in Kirksville Saturday and burial was made there.
Besides his wife he is survived by two brothers, Tom of Hardin county, Iowa, and Bert of near Newton and one sister, Myrtle of Newton.
